Holguin led the No. 12 nationally ranked Stan State women's cross country team to a second-place finish Friday afternoon at the University of San Francisco Invitational at Hellman Hollow.
Holguin finished sixth overall in the women's 6K with a time of 21:00.2 and was the top non-Division I runner in the field. Her time was just 3.2 seconds off her collegiate-best 6K mark of 20:57.0 from last season.
Behind Holguin, Stan State totaled 82 points and finished as the top non-Division I team in the field. The Warriors finished ahead of Division I programs California Baptist, California, Santa Clara, Stanford, UC Davis, Sacramento State, Pacific and San Jose State.
