The Warrior defender played all 180 minutes during Stan State's CCAA weekend, going the full 90 against Cal State San Bernardino before helping the Warriors rebound with a 2-0 road victory over Cal State East Bay.
Franco contributed on both ends of the pitch in Sunday's victory. She helped anchor a Warrior defense that limited Cal State East Bay to three shots on goal while recording Stan State's fourth shutout of the season. Offensively, Franco scored her first goal of the season in the 78th minute off an assist from Mandy Thao to give the Warriors a 2-0 advantage and help secure the victory.
Franco has started all 10 matches this season and has one goal and one assist for three points. The Warriors enter the week in second place in the CCAA standings with seven matches remaining in the regular season, just two points behind first-place Cal State San Bernardino.
Franco and the Warriors return to the pitch Friday, Oct. 9, when they travel to San Francisco State for a noon CCAA match. Stan State returns home Sunday, Oct. 11, to host UC Merced at 2 p.m. at Warrior Stadium.
