Meyer led Stan State to its first CCAA victory of the season with a career-high 16 kills in the Warriors’ four-set road victory at Chico State.
Meyer recorded her 16 kills on 38 attempts with just four errors for a .316 hitting percentage. She accounted for more than a third of Stan State’s 47 kills and finished with a match-high 16 points.
Behind Meyer’s offensive performance, the Warriors defeated Chico State 25-12, 22-25, 25-20, 25-20. Stan State hit .227 as a team while holding the Wildcats to a .119 hitting percentage.
Meyer and the Warriors return to action Thursday, Sept. 24, when they open their home schedule against San Francisco State at 5 p.m. at Ed & Bertha Fitzpatrick Arena. The match will be Stan State’s Alopecia Awareness Night. The Warriors will also host Cal State East Bay at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26, as part of the CCAA pod weekend. Saturday’s match will be Camper Reunion.
