The duo of Jaevin Sawyer and Trent Lauderdale along with the 4x100 relay team of Sawyer, Lauderdale, Jaheim Williams, and Eris Hutchins are this week’s Male Warriors of the Week, presented by KW Recovery Lab.
Sawyer was named CCAA Freshman Men’s Track and Field Athlete of the Meet at the 2025 CCAA Track & Field Championships. He earned All-CCAA honors in the 200-meter and 100-meter dash. Sawyer captured the 200-meter dash and was the silver medalist in the 100. The freshman broke the school record in the 100 (10.42) and is now second in the 200 (21.07). He is now 51st in the nation in the 100 and 57th in the 200 with his two NCAA DII qualifying times.
Lauderdale captured the men’s 400-hurdles with a time of 51.06, which is the second fastest time in school history. The senior hurdler is now fifth in the nation with his NCAA DII qualifying time.
The Warrior men’s 4x100 relay team of Eris Hutchins, Jaheim Williams, Sawyer, and Lauderdale broke the 43-year school record with their second-place and NCAA DII qualifying time to earn All-CCAA honors. The relay team is the 55th fastest time in the nation.
