ARCATA -- Adrienne Sorenson scored a goal and had an assist but the Warriors women's soccer team could not hold on to the lead as Humboldt State scored three unanswered goals for a 3-2 win at the Redwood Bowl.

Despite the loss, the Warriors finished the season with yet another winning record at 8-7-4 overall and 4-7-3 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association. Humboldt State improved to 9-10-1 and 5-8-1 in CCAA play.

"We got off to a great start. It is a little different playing on such a narrow field and turf, but overall we handled it well," CSUS head coach Gabe Bolton said.

The Warriors only needed 42 seconds on the narrow Redwood Bowl field to get on the board. Sorenson scored her sixth goal of the season by knocking in a rebound off of the HSU goalkeeper.

Genneka Fox would added a second score for the Warriors at 5:35 that was assisted by Sorenson for a 2-0 lead.

Humboldt State would get one back in the 31st minute and with two late scores pull off the come-from-behind win. HSU scored at 86:58 and 88:24.

"Obviously it is disappointing to give up a lead and lose the game in the last three minutes," Bolton said. "I am proud of the team. We worked very hard and played good soccer throughout the season."
