POMONA -- The Cal State Stanislaus women's basketball team was held to its lowest point total of the season as the Warriors lost to Cal Poly Pomona, 57-39, Friday night.
The loss dropped the Warriors to 6-15 overall and 4-11 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association.
Katie Busi led the Warriors with nine points and nine rebounds and
Shristy Kumar scored nine.
Reyana Colson had 15 points and eight rebound to lead Cal Poly Pomona, now 10-11 overall and 7-8 in conference play. It was the Broncos' 10th consecutive win over Stanislaus.
The Broncos won despite shooting just 28.8 percent from the field. But Cal Poly Pomona had 32 chances at the foul line and converted on 22 free throws. CPP was just 5-for-28 for 17.9 percent in the second half but had a 31-18 halftime lead.
Cal State Stanislaus shot 37.1 percent but only made 35 field goal attempts compared to CPP's 52.
The Warriors will take on Cal State San Bernardino Saturday night at Coussoulis Arena, the site of the inaugural CCAA Basketball Championships.
