TURLOCK — Katie Busi had her third collegiate double-double with a career-high 19 points but the Warriors women's team dropped a 76-52 decision to visiting Sonoma State Saturday night at Warrior Arena.

With the loss, Cal State Stanislaus dropped to 6-18 overall and 4-14 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association. With Cal State Dominguez Hills losing to San Francisco State Saturday night, the Warriors are still in the hunt for a CCAA Championship tournament. The Warriors remain two games out of the eighth and final spot for the inaugural conference tournament.

The two teams CSUS will have to beat for the final berth are Cal State L.A. and Cal State Dominguez Hills — the Warriors' next two opponents during the final regular season weekend next week.

Saturday night against the Seawolves, it was the freshman Busi lighting up the scoreboard for the Warriors. Busi was 7 for 13 from the field with three free throws. She even made two three-pointers. Busi also pulled 10 rebounds for her third double-double to go with three blocks and a steal.

Shristy Kumar chipped in 13 points and Lysandra Williams had 10.

Sonoma State, however, shot 50.8 percent for the game. Genny Anderson led with 18 points and 8 rebounds and Lauren Redfield added 11. Sonoma State is 18-7 and 12-6 in the CCAA. The Seawolves are tied for third with UC San Diego behind Chico State and Cal State San Bernardino.

Cal State Dominguez Hills visits the Warriors next Thursday at 5:30 p.m. before the regular season finale on Friday versus Cal State L.A.
