SEASIDE — Victor Regalado came through again for the Warriors like he has done for most of the season. This time, he helped the Warriors to their 11th win, making it the winningest season since joining the CCAA.

Regalado scored his 12th goal of the year with four minutes left in regulation as Cal State Stanislaus defeated Cal State Monterey Bay, 2-1, Friday.

The Warriors have now won three straight and five of their last six matches to improve to 11-6-1 overall and 8-6-1 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association. The victory also meant that the Warriors locked in the winningest season during the CCAA era and since 1991 when that team went 11-5-1.

"I am proud of the way the guys fought in the first half and came out in the second half and established the game," CSUS head coach Dana Taylor said. "It was a really physical, hard-fought game."

Cal State Stanislaus has also secured second place in the North Division, seven points behind leader Sonoma State and six points ahead of Chico State.

Regalado continues to lead the conference in scoring with his 12th goal of the year, which came at 86:07. He slipped the ball to the right of the CSUMB goalkeeper Brenden Baca after Baca kept the Warriors from finding the back of the net for most of the afternoon. Baca recorded six saves. CSUMB was also credited with four team saves.

"Victor was man-marked all match long by (CSUMB) but he was able to break-away on a couple of chances and finished one. That's what great forwards do," Taylor said.

After a scoreless first half, Cal State Stanislaus got on the board in the 55th minute when Luis Guzman converted on a penalty kick score. The Otters were called on a hand ball foul in the box.

The Warrior lead lasted less than six minutes as the Otters were awarded a penalty kick after a Stanislaus foul in the box. Nate Torricelli scored CSUMB's third PK goal of the season to tie the score.

Javier Rosales picked up six saves for the Warriors.

Cal State Stanislaus finishes the season on Sunday at San Francisco State. Kickoff at Cox Stadium is at 11:30 a.m.
