The Warriors threatened to make a game of it late as a layup by Bertomen capped a 7-0 run, pulling CSUS to within 49-42 with 4:23 left.
But the Gators held off the Stanislaus rally for the win.
The Warriors will next participate in the Humboldt State Classic in Arcata next weekend when they face Northwest Nazarene for the second time in three weeks and Notre Dame de Namur.
