Series Notes vs. UC San Diego: The last time the Warriors beat UC San Diego, the Tritons were ranked No. 21 and it was in Turlock (Sept. 25, 2010). UC San Diego holds a 21-3 record against the Warriors since 1996 with a four-match winning streak.

Series Notes vs. Cal State San Bernardino: It has been 12 years since the Warriors posted a victory over the Coyotes. The last Warrior win was in 2000 when the Warriors beat CSUSB, 3-2, in Turlock. San Bernardino has won 23 straight since and leads the series record 27-2.

The Perfect Storm? Maybe, just maybe, the stars are aligned for a Stanislaus upset on Friday when they host UC San Diego. See, the last time the Warriors beat the Tritons it was on Sept. 25, 2010. UC San Diego was ranked No. 21 at the time and it was in Turlock. This time, the Tritons are No. 24. The Warriors picked up their eighth win with that win...the Warriors are looking for their eighth win this Friday.

No-So-Nice Scheduling: This is the second weekend in-a-row that the Warriors are facing the front-runners of the conference. This tough stretch of the schedule started last Friday on the road at Sonoma State (currently third place) than at San Francisco State (fourth place).

The 300 Club: Andrea Fett has posted 300 kills, exactly, thus far this season. She's the fourth CCAA player to put-away 300 this season. Former Warriors have surpassed the 300-kill mark in a season 11 times, including assistant coach Lianne Vicchio who's done it three times.

Go-to Attacker: Andrea Fett also has been the team's go-to killer. Her average of 3.57 kills per set average is fourth best in the CCAA this season. That number is also currently the third best in the CSUS history (Lianne Vicchio holds the single season record with 3.72 per set).

Leading Blocker: With 80 blocks this season so far Melissa Bishop is a shoot-in to crack the top 10 list in blocks in a season. Her average of 1.00 block per set is already third best in the CSUS single season record book (currently fifth among the CCAA leaders). Bishop just became No. 3 in the school's alltime list with 274 career blocks (16 to go for No. 2).

About UC San Diego (17-6, 12-3 CCAA): The Tritons have won six straight and is in second place, one game behind the CSUSB Coyotes. The Tritons are ranked No. 24 in this week's AVCA Top 25. Danielle Dahle leads the team with 316 kills and 3.76 sets per set -- both third best in the CCAA.

About Cal State San Bernardino (16-7, 13-2 CCAA): Nine-time CCAA champion and six-time defending champion Cal State San Bernardino is back atop of the conference standings again. CSUSB has won five straight and 13 of its last 14 matches.  The Coyotes feature three players with nearly 200 kills and one of the best defensive specialists (Arielle McCullough, 4.21 digs per set) and setters (Camille Smith, 9.67) in the CCAA.
