Box Score TURLOCK — Briana Cotton was a bright spot for the Cal State Stanislaus women's basketball team but the visiting Cal Poly Pomona Broncos were stronger in the second half as they pulled away for the 82-61 contest Saturday night.

Cotton came off the bench to score a personal-best 19 points to lead the Warriors before the team dropped its sixth contest this season. Cotton scored 11 of those points in the first half with three three-pointers that help keep Stanislaus in the game. She finished with four of the team's eight three-pointers and was 7 for 17 from the field for the career night.

Cal Poly Pomona (2-3, 1-2 CCAA) led at the break, 39-36, only because Mian Dingle hit a long three-pointer at the buzzer.

Cal State Stanislaus kept pace in the first half, shooting at a sharp 50 percent clip. Erin Godde had all 10 of her points and Lauren Godde scored nine of her 13 in the first half.

However, the Warriors were just 1 for their first 15 shot attempts in the second half to allow the Bronocs to pull ahead. By the time the Warriors made their second field goal of the second half — a Cotton layup at 11:08 — it was 59-45 in favor of Cal Poly Pomona.

The Warriors were 8 for 37 in the second half for 21.6 percent while Pomona made 56 percent of its attempts.

Lauren Godde finished with her second straight double-double night with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Erin Godde grabbed eight rebounds to go with her 10 points. Devin Brown scored eight and Natalie Winters seven points with five assists.

Jennifer Bryant was 5-for-5 from behind the arch for 15 points and Dingle finished with 24 points to lead Pomona. J.J. Judge added 15 points and pulled eight boards to add to the totals.
