1/18/2013 7:53:00 PM

Box Score CARSON — The Cal State Stanislaus women's basketball team lost at the Torodome for the first time in more than four years as the host Cal State Dominguez Hills Toros defeated the Warriors, 82-53, Friday night.

Lauren Godde and Devin Brown accounted for nearly half of the team's offensive output but the Warriors dropped to 2-12 overall on the season. Cal State Stanislaus is 1-8 during CCAA play. The Warriors ended a five-game winning streak against Cal State Dominguez Hills.

In the building where they have had some recent success with three straight wins since 2009-10, Friday night's contest was not to be for the Warriors against a bigger Dominguez Hills team (5-8, 4-5 CCAA). The Toros lead the CCAA in team rebounding as they entered the weekend averaging 43.1 rebounds per game.

Friday night, CSUDH out-rebounded the Warriors 47-33 and held the Godde twins to 11 total combined.

Lauren Godde scored 15 points, on 6 of 18 shooting, to go with six rebounds while Devin Brown netted 13 points. Erin Godde had five rebounds to help on the glass, where Katie Staack also pulled six boards.

Cal State Dominguez Hills was led by Monay Lee's 25-point night on 10 for 24 shooting from the field. She nearly doubled her averaging scoring total of 13.2.

The Warriors will try again Saturday night at Cal State L.A.'s Eagle Nest, the only CCAA facility outside of the Turlock where Stanislaus does not have a losing record (7-7) in CCAA play.
