Dome, Sweet Dome
The Warriors hope that the Torodome is a friendly place for them once again (Okay, it isn't really a dome, but that's the name of it at Cal State Dominguez Hills). Cal State Stanislaus has won five straight against the Toros, including the last three in Carson dating back to the 2009-10 season finale. The Warriors are 6-8 in 14 games there during the CCAA era.

Warriors Win in the 'Nest
The women's team had also fared well at Cal State L.A.'s Eagles Nest — the only CCAA facility outside of Turlock where they do not have a losing record. Since 1998-99, the Warriors are 7-7 at Cal State L.A.. Cal State Stanislaus had won three straight there from (2008 to 2011) until last year's final road trip.

More Scoring Showdown
When the Warriors take on Cal State L.A. on Saturday, it will mark the second consecutive Saturday that Lauren Godde will go up against a fellow scoring leader. Godde, who is now fourth in the CCAA at 17.5 ppg, will face L.A.'s Tessondra Williams (19.1 ppg, second in the CCAA). Last Saturday, Godde won the personal match-up with UCSD's Daisy Feder (CCAA leader with 20.6 ppg) with 23 points. Feder scored 16 with four three-pointers.

Taking Care of the Ball
The Warriors turned the ball over a season-low nine times on Saturday at La Jolla — a great improvement for a team that was averaging 22 miscues a game prior to last week. Friday's tally was 16, which was at the time a season best as well. The previous season low was 17 on Dec. 10. The Warriors had turned the ball over 20 or more times in eight of the first 11 games.

Lauren Godde's Place(s) in the CCAA
Lauren Godde has established herself as one of the best players in the CCAA by placing in the top 10 in numerous statistical categories. Offensively, she's fourth in scoring (17.5 ppg), thanks to her top-ranked 6.5 field goals per game. She also adds to her totals by hitting the free throws as she's seventh with 4.1 freebies per game. When not scoring, Godde's also rebounding. She's tied for first with 5.6 defensive boards and third with 7.8 offensive rebounds. The all-around player is also ninth with 1.7 steals  per game.

Ranked Opponents
Five of the team's 11 losses have been to nationally ranked teams. Simon Fraser is now No. 10, Chico State at No. 13 and Grand Canyon at No. 18. Cal State L.A., the Warriors' foe this Saturday, received votes in the latest USA Today/ESPN Coaches poll.

Two-And-How Many?
Yes, it's a rebuilding year under first-year coach Wayman Strickland. The 2-11 start marks the worse record for a Warrior women's team since the 2004-05 season when that squad started 2-14. That team (which featured Shavaki Jackson and Gwendolyn Page, both in the top seven in career scoring at CSUS) picked up its third win on Jan. 29, 2005, against Cal State L.A. before going on to finish 6-21.
