Box Score TURLOCK —
Lauren Godde scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds but the Warriors scored a season-low in points as they lost to Cal State East Bay, 53-35.
Despite another double-double from team's leader Godde, the Warriors dropped their fifth straight and fell to 2-14 overall and 1-10 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association. Cal State East Bay defeated Stanislaus for the fourth straight time and improved to 6-8, 4-6 in CCAA play.
Cal State East Bay, the lowest scoring team in the conference at 54.2 points per game, was led by Lauren Lucchesi who had 13 points -- seven of those points came from the free throw line. Marlene MacMillian pulled nine rebounds for the Pioneers.
Godde, who was 8 for 19 form the field, notched her sixth double-double this eason. It was her 14th career double-double. The 20-point out-put was also the junior forward's fifth this season.
It was a low scoring affair from the start with teams shooting under 30 percent in the first half for a 19-17 score at the break. In the second half, after Godde made a bucket to start the period at 18:18 to make it 19-19, the Warriors went on a scoring draught. Stanislaus would not score again until 11:25 on another Godde jumper to make it 29-21.
Cal State East Bay then extended that lead to 12 on a 7-2 run.
The Warriors ended up 27.5 percent from the field and made just 1 of their 20 three-point tries.
The last time the Warriors scored 35 points in a game was on Feb. 14, 2009 in Rohnert Park — but that was a 35-31 win at Sonoma State.
