Box Score POMONA — Cal Poly Pomona exploded for 52 first-half points as the Broncos doubled-up on the visiting Cal State Stanislaus Warriors Thursday night.
Five Broncos were in double-digits in scoring as the red-hot Cal Poly Pomona team improved to 11-6 overall and 9-4 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association. The Broncos have won eight of their last nine games.
Cal State Stanislaus couldn't get much offense going, especially in the first half when the Warriors scored 17 points, as the Warriors felt to 2-16, 1-12 CCAA.
Erin Godde and
Katie Staack each had nine points to lead the team in scoring.
Lauren Godde scored eight, as did
Briana Cotton. Staack,
Devin Brown and the Godde twins each pulled six rebounds.
Cydnie Jones led Cal Poly Pomona with 15 points and nine rebounds off the bench. Mian Dingle had 13 points and seven rebounds.
The Warriors, in the middle of a tough travel-stretch, will now have to trek all the way up the state to face Humboldt State in Arcata. HSU lost to Chico State, 76-66, Thursday.
