Cal State Dominguez Hills hosts Cal State San Bernardino on Sunday in the other first round match-up. The winners of the Sunday play-in games will join Cal Poly Pomona and Cal State L.A. in Turlock next week.

Back on Oct. 10, the Warriors faced the Tritons in La Jolla as the teams played to a 1-1 draw. Since then, UCSD has gone 2-1-3 to pick up enough points to earn the No. 3 seed with Thursday's win over CSUDH.

Stanislaus junior Christian Madrigal tied the score in the 59th minute until the Pioneers scored twice within a four-plus-minute window by Guerra in the 78th and 82nd.

The Warriors again out-shot their opponents, 14-11, and had a huge 14-2 advantage on corner kicks but could not find the back of the net. CSUEB goalkeeper Adrian Topete picked up five saves.

Cal State Stanislaus is in the CCAA conference tournament for the fourth time (2006, 2011, 2012, 2014). The Warriors won the championship in 2012 in Carson.
