Box Score TURLOCK — A balanced Humboldt State attack proved to be too much for the injuried-laden Cal State Stanislaus Warriors as the visiting Lumberjacks swept the home team, 25-18, 25-17, 25-16.
Three Lumberjacks each had nine or more kills and hit .368 or better as the third-place Humboldt State improved to 15-6 overall and 12-5 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association. The Warriors dropped their sixth straight and fell to 2-19, 2-15 in conference play.
Blair Ehrlich led the Warriors with eight kills while
Courtney Lewis and
Lindsay Skadeland each chipped in six. With
Hannah Green playing in limited roles as a server due to a recent injury, setter
Rachel Parsons set the offense all night and had 27 assists and 10 digs, both game-highs.
Paige Walker also had nine digs to go with five kills to pace Stanislaus.
The Warriors were without defensive specialist and libero
Sarah Crowl with an ankle injury and
Jordan Harris has never really fully recovered from a knee injury suffered earlier this season.
For Humboldt State, Kaitlyn Dunaway led with 10 kills with a game-best .421 hitting percentage. Nicole Bewley and Symone Hayden each had nine kills with .368 and .400 percentages, respectively. The trio accounted for 65 percent of the HSU offense. At the net, the Jacks had nine team blocks. Bewley was part of three of those blocks.
