Cal State East Bay ends a six-game losing streak by out-scoring Stanislaus, 55-43, in the second half to stay in tournament berth contention. The Pioneers and the Warriors are both 10-9 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association in a three-way tie for sixth with San Francisco State.

Lauren Godde scored 25 points for her fourth 20-point game this season. She made 7 of 14 field goals and was 9 of 14 on the free throw line. Briana Cotton added 17 points and Jasmine Washington had 10.

Cotton also led the Warriors with five rebounds as they were out-rebounded by Cal State East Bay, 41-23.

Brianna Terrance had 25 points and 12 rebounds to lead East Bay. Stephanie Lopez scored 21 points — 10 of them from the free throw line.

East Bay used a 10-0 run late in the second half to turn a three-point lead into a 13-point advantage during a 3:18 stretch. The Pioneers only needed one field goal after that point — a three-pointer by Terrance — plus a bunch of free throws to put the game away.

The Warriors will take on Cal State Monterey Bay in Seaside on Saturday before finishing the regular season at home next weekend.
