About the Pioneers: CSU East Bay has lost five straight after a five-game winning streak … The Pioneers tried the most free throws in the league with 25.4 attempts per game … Stephanie Lopez leads the team with 19.2 points (2nd in CCAA) and 6.9 rebounds a game.
Starting A StreakCal State Stanislaus won two in-a-row for the first time this season after sweeping opponents last weekend at home. The Warriors look to win three straight for the first time since last Dec. 21-Jan. 4 on the road. They also won four consecutive games to start the 2013-14 season (Nov. 14-26).
Home Sweet HomestandAfter the two-game trip, the Warriors will return for more home games to complete the stretch of eight out of 10 at Fitzpatrick Arena. So far, the Warriors are 3-4 in games at home … The last time the Warriors had a four-game homestand, they went 2-2 from Jan. 31 to Feb. 8, 2014.
At the HalfFriday's game at Cal State Monterey Bay marks the end of the first half of CCAA play as far as number of games (11) is counted. After Saturday at Cal State East Bay, the Warriors would have played everyone in league play at least once this season.
Career Game For RobertsCamille Roberts posted three career highs last Friday against Sonoma State. She made six three-pointers (out of 11 tries) and scored 22 points to lead the Warriors to a 13-point win. The junior also had three assists and three rebounds (ties a career high).
What A Second Half For BurchAfter being held to just 0-for-1 shooting in the first half,
Ana Burch caught fire in the second half in Saturday's win over San Francisco State. The 2013-14 CCAA Freshman of the Year went 6-for-9 with three 3-pointers and four free throws to end up with 19 points. She accounted for nine points during a 16-3 Stanislaus run that helped the Warriors rally back from a 15-point deficit. In another 10-3 run, Burch accounted for eight of those points to give the Warriors an 8-point lead.
Cotton Nearing 850Briana Cotton became the eighth Warrior to score 800 or more points in a career recently. After scoring 17 points last weekend, Cotton now has 849 career points. She can reach 1,000 points if she can average 12 points a game the rest of the season. Only four Warriors have ever reach 1,000 career points (CCAA era).
Five-In, Five-OutCoach
Wayman Strickland used a new strategy last week to pick up two victories: line changes. Like in hockey, Strickland would sub-in five players at a time to "keep everyone involved and engaged in the game at all times."

Camille Roberts (22 points) and
Ana Burch (19 points), Warrior non-starters scored 37 points on Friday and 28 on Saturday. Those numbers accounted for 40 or more percent of the team's scoring both nights.
Holladay The ThiefDefense played a big part in both wins last week and
Riley Holladay was in the middle of it as the sophomore had six steals in two game (four of the team's 9 on Saturday) … The Warriors totaled eight blocked shots, 20 steals and forced 36 turnovers in two games.
Head Coach Wayman StricklandWayman Strickland is in his third season as the head coach of the Warriors. After inheriting a team in July, 2012 (and went 2-25 in his first season), he has turned the program around with a very competitive 13-13 season in 2013-14. Prior to his arrival at Stanislaus, Strickland was an assistant coach at Delta College. He spent nine years as a professional player in Europe and Asia after a stellar four-year career at the University of San Diego (1988-92), where he amassed 1,040 career points and 408 assists.

CCAA Basketball ChampionshipsThe 2014-15 CCAA Men's & Women's Basketball Championship tournament will be held at the beginning of March. Six teams qualify for the event to be held at the Stockton Arena. The winner of the tournament would receive the automatic bid for the NCAA tournament.
Getting Back to the TournamentThe last time a Warriors women's basketball team qualified for the conference tournament was in 2010-11 when the Warriors lost at Cal Poly Pomona, 76-55, in the first round. Stanislaus also played in the 2009 CCAA tournament (lost at Humboldt State, 82-61).
Vying For the PostseasonIt has been 11 seasons since the last time the Warriors made the NCAA postseason. Stanislaus went 18-10 in the 2002-03 season and played in the opening round of the NCAA tournament in Seattle (116-106, OT, lost to Cal State Bakersfield).
