SAN FRANCISCO —
Briana Cotton scored 19 points and
Cassidy Sanders-Curry added 17 as the Cal State Stanislaus women's basketball team ended a four-game skid with a 65-55 win at San Francisco State.
Cotton, who was 6 of 11 from the field, continues to add to her career totals as she winds down her Stanislaus career. The senior guard now has 930 career points.
The Warriors, which improved to 7-16 overal and 5-14 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association, also got 10 points off the bench from
Reana Hardin.
Riley Holladay led the team with eight rebounds.
Cal State Stanislaus led 34-24 at the half and used a 7-0 lead to start the second half for a 41-24, 17-point lead with 17:11 to go on a Sanders-Curry three-pointer.
San Francisco State, still looking for its first win after 23 games, did get as close as seven points after a 8-0 run capped by a Michelle Sutton three-pointer at 11:21. However, the Warriors stayed ahead to pull out the 10-point win.
The Warriors made nine 3-pointers in the victory with Cotton and Sanders-Curry each hitting three.
