SAN FRANCISCO — Blair Ehrlich's well rounded performance in all aspects of her game led Stanislaus State to yet another victory as they swept San Francisco State in straight sets on Tuesday night at The Swamp in San Francisco.
Maintaining their second place stance in the Northern Division of the CCAA, the Warriors are now 8-9 overall, 5-3 in league play. Stanislaus's winover the Gators (1-15, 0-8 CCAA) was a three set verdict, 25-13, 25-13, 25-18.
Stan State dominated the Gators in most statistical aspects of the match. The Warriors totaled 43 kills (.311) to the Gators mere 23 (.054), they had eight serving aces to the Gators three, and 49 digs to SF State's 38 digs. The Warriors only totaled 11 hitting errors for the match, while the Gators had 18.
Ehrlich had an aggressive night at the net with a total of 18 kills in just three sets and only four errors (.368 attacking percentage). She also led the Warriors in the back row with 10 digs. In addition to her aggressive attacking, Ehrlich had three serving aces and two blocks, making her responsible for 22 of the Warriors 57 total points for the match.
Setter Maddi Seidl facilitated Ehrlich's destructive offense, racking up 31 assists. Taylor Massengale added to the Warriors defensive efforts with three blocks.
San Francisco State was led by Haley Halpert with eight kills. Linda Aerne led the Gators' defense with eight digs.
The Warriors are on the road again this weekend as they travel back to the bay to take on Cal State East Bay on Friday and Cal State Monterey Bay on Saturday.
