SAN BERNARDINO — The Cal State San Bernardino Coyotes continued to have their way against Stanislaus State in men's soccer as the host were not hospitable in handing the guests a 6-0 loss Sunday afternoon.
The Coyotes used some efficiency in their offense, scoring six times on 13 shots on goal to move up to 7-3-1 overall and 5-2-1 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association. The Warriors (1-7-3 overall) are still looking for their first conference win in six matches and will look to rebound at home Wednesday versus Cal State East Bay.
Cal State San Bernardino has now gone 3-0-1 in the last four head-to-head meetings in the series.
CSUSB scored four times in the second half to blow the game away. Ivan Quintero scored twice and had two assists to lead the Coyotes.
Stanislaus State, which had 13 shots on the day, had some chances late in the match but shots where either blocked or just wide of the goal. Goalkeeper Tomas Zejfert had seven saves.
Wednesday's match against Cal State East Bay kicks off at 7 p.m. at Warrior Stadium.
