This Week
The Warriors will start off their week early with a game on Tuesday against Sacramento State, their third Division I opponent this season. Stan State will then travel to Cal State Dominguez Hills on Friday for the start of the CCAA season.

Cranking up the competition
Stan State has increased their level of play by taking on five Division I programs. Earlier this month the Warriors traveled to UC Davis and Nevada for exhibition matches. Facing losses in those competitions, the Warriors have a better idea of what to expect from Sacramento State. Next Tuesday Stan State will play Cal State Bakersfield, and travel to San Jose State on Dec. 18 to face their final DI competitor.
Conference Kickoff
Last year the Warriors kick started the regular
season with a win at home against Cal State San Bernardino, creating a ripple effect into what
was the best season the Warriors have had since 2003. Stan State has won two out of their last three conference openers, losing by 2 in overtime at Cal State L.A. in 2014, and beating Chico State by 3 at home in 2013 ... The Toros also started their 2015-16 season with a win at home against UC San Diego. So far this season, the Toros play better on neutral ground, with a 0-2 home record.

Booming Burch
Senior starter
Ana Burch sure had a lot to be thankful for over the holiday weekend. Burch set a new career high, and two season highs to make it an outstanding weekend. She also had the honor of being one of six athletes to make the all-tournament team. On Friday against Alaska, Burch scored 25 points surpassing her previous career record by three, which she set against Humboldt State in 2014. She also increased her season high of 5 rebounds by one, with 6 rebounds against both Metro State and Alaska. Also in both Thursday and Friday's competitions, Burch had 4 assists which increased her previous season high of 2 assists that she set in the first preseason game of the year against Central Washington.
