About the Coyotes: Cal State San Bernardino lost both games at home last weekend to help the Warriors clinch this home game … Chelsea Barnes tops the team with 13.2 points a game. Alexica Mack isn't far being at 12.1 points a game … CSUSB is the best free throw shooting team in the CCAA with a 76.3 percentage.
Warriors Notes
First Postseason Game: The Warriors are hosting a posteason game here for the first time since 1991. Stanislaus lost to UC San Diego, 64-45, in that NCAA Division II West Region game back on March 8, 1991.
Warriors in the CCAA Tourney: This is the Warriors' third appearance in the CCAA Tournament. They qualified in 2009 and 2011 as No. 7 seed and lost on the road (at Humboldt State and Cal Poly Pomona, respectively).
Ticket Prices: Ticket prices for Tuesday night's CCAA tournament game are reduced from the Stanislaus State regular season doubleheaders. General Admission is $5 and tickets all students, staff, faculty, seniors and youth are just $2. Tickets are available at the Arena Box Office starting at 6 p.m. and are also available online at WarriorAthletics.com/Tickets
What's at Stake: The winner of this game will face either No. 8 Cal State L.A. or top-seed Cal State Dominguez Hills in the first women's basketball semifinal game on Friday at Stockton Arena. That game is slated for 5:35 p.m.
Awesome Record At Home: The Warriors are 10-2 this season at home. They are one win away from matching the 1999-2000 team's 11-win total. Their only two losses were against co-CCAA champions Cal State East Bay and Cal State Dominguez Hills.
Recent Hot Hands: Alysa Valentine is coming off back to back good games as she scored 32 points last weekend. She has put up double digits — and averaged 16.0 points per game — in the last four games … Despite being ill, Riley Holladay scored 11 and grabbed 11 rebounds on Saturday against CSUDH … Reana Hardin led the Warriors with 17 points on Saturday.
Best Season in a While: The Warriors have secured the best season with 16 wins since the 2002-03 team went 18-10 and advanced to the NCAA West Regionals. That team featured Hall of Famer Shannon Donnelly.
Strickland Nets 40th W: Stanislaus State's 16-win season is also a best during Wayman Strickland's tenure. Strickland, who is in his fourth season, now has 40 career wins here at Stan Stan.
