TURLOCK – The Stanislaus State softball team opened the 2017 season with an impressive offensive display as the Warriors beat Holy Names, 10-2, in six innings Wednesday night at Warrior Softball Field.

Starting off their season with a win, the Warriors will head to Las Vegas for a tournament this weekend with a 1-0 mark.

Ruby Quiralte went 3-for-3 with a double, triple and drove in three runs to lead the Warrior offense. Cassidy Duke went 3-for-3 with a homer and Katelyn McDonald went 2-for-3 with a double and a triple. Every Warrior position player in the starting lineup had at least a hit in the team's 13-hit parade.

The Warriors tagged on four runs in the third inning highlighted by the Quiralte triple, a Lia Tom double and a RBI single by Morgan Balestreri.
