LAS VEGAS - The Stanislaus State softball team finished out the final day of the Desert Stinger with a loss 3-1 against Concordia Irvine on Sunday morning.
The Warriors ended 3-2 on the weekend, and are 4-2 overall in their first week of the season. The Eagles are now 3-2 overall.
Nicolette Vizcaino went 2-for-3 and scored a run.
Alexus Martinez also went 2-for-3 against the Eagles.
Cassidy Duke went 1-for-4 with an RBI. The Warriors picked up the run in third inning on the Duke RBI single to left that scored Vizcaino.
Concordia-Irvine, however, took the lead with two runs in the bottom of the third.
Kylie Ragsdale took the loss for the Warriors and is now 2-1 on the season. She gave up three runs on five hits with a strikeout.
The Warriors will begin conference play next week at Cal State Dominguez Hills with a doubleheader starting at noon on Friday.
