After using last weekend to relax with no competitions, the Stanislaus State women's basketball team will be on the road this week. They will travel down south to take on UC San Diego on Thursday and Cal State San Marcos on Saturday. Both games are scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m.

Leading Ladies:Â Against Sonoma State last Wednesday, Warrior leaders
Lizzy Alexander and
Zahria Hendrix played and almost identical game. Alexander led the team with 18 points against the Seawolves and Hendrix trailed close behind, scoring 16 points. Both had five defensive rebounds and four assists. Hendrix led with three steals and Alexander had two steals. Â

Double Digit Rebounder:Â For her third time this season and ninth time in her career,
Erika Larsen rebounded in the double digits. She had 10 rebounds against Sonoma State, and with eight points she was just one shot away from her second double-double this season.
Alexander's Accolades:Â For the fifth time this season
Lizzy Alexander led the Warriors in scoring against Sonoma State. Wednesday was the ninth time that Alexander has scored in the double digits, and her fifth game in a row earning double digit points. She has led the Warriors scoring efforts the most out of the entire Stan State squad, and currently leads the Warriors with 11.1 points per game overall, 13.4 points per CCAA competition.

Half Way:Â After last week's single competition, the Warriors are now exactly half way through the conference season. They have played 11 CCAA games thus far and have 11 more to go. Currently 4-7 in league, the Stan State women hope to increase their number of conference wins in the second round. The Warriors are set to play UC San Diego this Thursday, who is currently sitting at the top of the CCAA standings with an undefeated conference record ... Statistically speaking the Warriors generally do better in the first half of the conference season. Over the past five seasons Stan State has only had more conference wins once in the second half of league play.Â

Conference Accomplishments: With last week's win on the board the Warriors continue to do well with steals and blocked shots in the overall conference comparison. Stan State is second in the CCAA with 10.27 steals per game, behind Cal State Dominguez Hills who averages 12.83 steals per game. Also sitting high in the standings,
Zahria Hendrix is tied for second with Ashley Carson from Cal State San Bernardino with 2.9 steals per game ... The Warriors are fourth in the league with 4.09 blocked shots per game. Stan State follows behind Cal State L.A., Cal State San Marcos, and Cal State San Bernardino.
Erika Larsen is third in the CCAA with 1.9 blocks per game, and
Lizzy Alexander is tied for seventh with Monica Friedl from Cal State San Marcos with one block per game.Â

UC San Diego TRITONS (5-7, 2-6 CCAA)
Series Notes:Â The Warriors are 6-29 against UCSD overall, and 0-7 against the Tritons since 2015.Â

Last Time We Met... was on New Year's Eve earlier this season. The Warriors hosted UC San Diego in a day game, and lost to the CCAA leader 52-79.Â
About the Tritons: The Tritons have won 11 straight games, going undefeated so far in conference play. They are led offensively by Dalayna Sampton who averages 14.1 points per game. They also have three more players averaging double digit scoring. Sampton is also UCSD's leading rebounder with 10.1 rebounds per game, and Mikayla Williams is equally as aggressive with 9.5 rebounds per game ... The Tritons shoot 43.5 percent from the field, 35.5 percent from the three-point arc, and 71.6 percent from the free-throw line.Â

Series Notes: Stan State is 4-0 against Cal State San Marcos since they joined the CCAA in 2015-16, playing them twice in the Cougars' inaugural season and once last year.Â

Last Time We Met... was on Dec. 29 at the Fitz. The Warriors hosted CSUSM and defeated the Cougars 62-57 in overtime, snapping a four-game losing streak.Â

About the Cougars: CSUSM is led by Savannah Camp with an average of 15.2 points per game. Camp also leads with 5.6 rebounds per game, and Lupe Cruz is close behind with 5.4 rebounds per game ... As a team the Cougars shoot 38.9 percent from the field, 27.3 percent from the three-point arc, and 68.5 percent from the free-throw line ... Last weekend Cal State San Marcos was up north taking on CSUEB and CSUMB. The Cougars lost 63-67 in overtime to the Pioneers and defeated the Otters 57-49.
