SAN FRANCISCO — Playing a match in less than 42 hours since its previous, the Stanislaus State men's soccer team dropped a 4-0 decision on the road at SF State's Cox Stadium Friday afternoon.
San Francisco State netted three goals en route to the win over the Warriors to improve to 9-3-3 overall and 6-3-2 in CCAA. The Warriors were coming off a tremendous effort against top team Chico State Wednesday night at home, but fell to 6-9-0, 2-8-0.
The Gators out-shot the Warriors 15-3 in the contest, including 7-1 in the second half, when they scored three times to blow the game open.
Brandt Dixon, Aydan Bowers, Jorden Wusstig and Tariq Pulskamp scored for San Francisco State.
The Warriors managed one shot on goal, but
Javier Ceballos, and
Edgar Benitez had two saves in the loss.
Stan State has two regular season matches left on the schedule. The Warriors will host UC San Diego (Thursday) and Cal State San Marcos (Saturday) next weekend.
