CHICO –The Warriors were handed a 64-80 loss after a rough start to Thursday night's game at Chico State. Despite
Kyanna Davis shooting a season-high of 23 points, the team struggled in offense overall, ultimately leading to their defeat.
Stan State is now 1-3 in conference, 1-5 overall. Chico State will now be 2-1 in conference with a 5-1 overall record.
Caprina Pipion followed Davis, scoring double-digits with a season high of 12 points to go along with her season-high of six rebounds. Tied for second in rebounds were
Brittney Livingston and
Kyanna Davis with four.
The Wildcats had four players put up double-digits led by Shay Stark and McKena Barker's 12 points. Brynn Thoming followed them with 11 points and behind her was Natalie Valenzuela with ten. Barker led with 13 rebounds on Thursday night.
Having a rough night on offense, the Warriors fell behind in field goals shooting 6-for-30 in the first half and 10-for-30 in the second. Despite this, the women could score 12 points off turnovers.
Stanislaus State fought hard in the fourth quarter scoring 25 points to Chico's 14 points, but this would not be enough to bring home the win.
The Warriors will travel to Arcata on Saturday, December 8, to take on the Humboldt State Jacks at 5:30 p.m.
