Stan State Fights, but Leaves Humboldt with a Loss

ARCATA- The Stanislaus State Women's basketball team heads home with a loss of 61-67 after Saturday night's game against Humboldt State. The Jacks take home the win making them 4-1 in conference and 6-2 overall.
 
Stan State will fall 1-4 in conference and 1-6 overall.
 
The Warriors held the largest lead for the entirety of the game but eventually fell short in the fourth quarter. Stan State came out of the first with a 22-14 lead, feeling good going into the next quarter.
 
Stan State had three players score in the double-digits and played great offensively scoring 24 points in the paint, 17 off turnovers and 16 off of second chance. They shot 12-15 at the free throw line and 41.2% for field goals. Humboldt State shot 36.7% for field goals.
 
Kyanna Davis was the star of the night with 21 points and ten rebounds. Caitlin Keding would score her season-high with 15 points and Kaleigh Taylor would have both a high of ten points and nine rebounds.
 
Humboldt State had three players also shoot in double digits with Alexia Thrower being first with 21. Thrower had 15 rebounds Saturday night. Tyra Turner had 15 points and five assists. Isamar Conde had 12 points.
 
The women will travel to Reno on Tuesday, December 11, to take on Nevada at 11 a.m.
