SEASIDE — Sierra Adams had 15 kills to lead a prolific offensive night as the Stanislaus State women's volleyball team took down Cal State Monterey Bay in straight sets, 25-19, 25-21, 25-20.

The Warriors snapped a four-match losing streak to post their first California Collegiate Athletic Association win and are now 8-4 overall and 1-3 in league play. The 2015 Stan State team also started the season 8-4 en route to the program's first CCAA tournament appearance.

On Friday night, the offensive attack was strong as the Warriors hit .340 collectively. Three players swung 19 times or more and all hit .314 or better. Adams led the team with 15 kills on 35 attempts with just four errors (.314). Rachel Klopfer had 10 kills on 19 tries (.368) and Yisel Perez had 20 attacks with nine kills and no errors (.450).

Defensively, a group of Warriors contributed with libero Mya Marshall leading with 19 digs. Klopfer and Perez had had nine and Ramey Gardner eight.

Cal State Monterey Bay is 6-4, 1-2 CCAA.
