ARCATA — Winning both match on this particular road trip in the CCAA for the first time since 2002, the Stanislaus State women's volleyball team's long bus ride home was sure to be a pleasant one.
The Warriors took down Humboldt State in straight sets, 25-23, 25-22, 25-16, Saturday evening to improve to 5-4 in conference play and 12-5 overall. Stan State and Cal State Monterey Bay share the top spot in the CCAA North after this weekend's play.
The Warriors will host the Otters next Saturday at Ed & Bertha Fitzpatrick Arena.

Ramey Gardner led the team with 15 kills and
Sierra Adams chipped in 14 — both hit .342 for better. Gardner was 15 for 32 with four errors for a .344 percentage.
Breanna Cannon dished 40 assists and
Mya Marshall had 14 digs and Cannon 11 digs.
Adams wrapped up an impressive week as the Warriors went 2-1, narrowly losing at Cal State East Bay on Tuesday in five sets. Adams tallied 57 kills in three matches. She did so on 121 attempts with 11 errors giving her .380 attacking percentage.
The Warriors set the tone late in the first set. Trailing 23-18, the Warriors scored seven straight points to take the win.
Jordon Wilson had two kills in that final stretch.
Stan State again got stronger late in the second set. Behind 20-18, the Warriors rolled off seven of the final nine points to grab the win. The Warriors scored 12 of 13 points in the middle of the third set for an 18-11 lead en route ot the win.
