MONMOUTH, Ore. — Offensively, the Stanislaus State women's soccer team had the upper-hand against Western Oregon Thursday.
Despite out-shooting Western Oregon, 20-8, the Warriors played the host Wolves to a 2-2 draw after 110 minutes of play.
Jenna Zuniga (Manteca/East Union HS) and
Summer England (Elk Grove/Franklin HS) scored goals for Stan State as the Warriors remain unbeaten this season and are now 3-0-1. The Warriors will take that mark into Saturday's showdown against No. 20 ranked Concordia-Portland.
The Warriors scored twice within a two-and-half minute stretch during a flurry of action on the pitch. After WOU went ahead at 35:26, Zuniga answered with her first goal of the year at 39:25.
Then England scored her first collegiate goal at 41:55 to give the Warriors a 2-1 lead.
Anisa Saechao (Merced/Merced HS) was credited with a goal on the England score.
However, Alyssa Tomasini would even the score for WOU in the 55th minute.
The Warriors were on point, making Western Oregon goalkeeper Alex Qualls earn eight saves.
Stanislaus State will travel up the road to Portland to take on the Concordia Cavaliers on Saturday. Kickoff is at Noon.
