PORTLAND, Ore. — The Stanislaus State women's soccer team was not able to get through the swarming defense of Concordia as the Warriors dropped a 2-0 decision to the 20th ranked Cavaliers Saturday afternoon.
Concordia held the Warriors offense to just five shots and blasted 17 in the direction of Stan State goalkeeper
Haley Crook. Crook finished with five saves but the Cavaliers were able to find the back of the net twice.
Stanislaus State will return from its trip to Oregon with a 3-1-1 record before opening the California Collegiate Athletic Association season next weekend at home. The Warriors host Cal State Dominguez Hills next, on Friday ta 4:30 p.m.
Sydney Van Steenberge and Brenda Uribe scored goals for Concordia-Portland (3-0-1).
