LA JOLLA – The Warriors faced a tough and strong Triton offense on Sunday morning as the Warriors offense went quiet during the game. The Tritons shutout the Warriors 5-0.
The Warriors fall to 3-10-0 overall and 0-8-0 in the CCAA. The Tritons are now 11-3-0 overall and 6-2-0 in the CCAA.
GOALS
- A high shot from right by Jonathan Sabouri, assisted by Brett Jones, put the Tritons on the board first in the 14th minute.
- The Tritons were leading 2-0 in the 18th minute after Brett Jones was assisted by Andy Sartor for Jones' first goal of the game.
- UC San Diego was on fire in the first half. Sabouri scored his second goal in the 21st minute with an assist from Oliver Nelson to bring the Tritons up 3-0.
- Max Gonda scored unassisted for the Tritons for the first goal in the second half in the 80th minute.
- A last-minute goal put the Tritons up 5-0 in the 90th minute when Nick Cirrito scored unassisted.

NOTEWORTHY
- The Warriors are 4-14-3 against UCSD since they first played in October 2000.
- The last time the two teams met, the Warriors lost to No. 17 Tritons 1-2 in October 2018.
- The Tritons outshot the Warriors 18-5.
