TURLOCK – The Warriors faced a tough Wildcat team on Wednesday night when Stan State fell 0-6. The Wildcats were on their a-game and the Warriors were not able to stop them as they fell completely quiet in the second half.
The Warriors are now 3-11-0 overall and 0-9-0 in the CCAA. Chico State rises to 9-4-0 overall and 5-4-0 in conference.
GOALS
- Jacob Chong scored with a header in the 8th minute assisted by Anthony Kaskie.
- Two headers for Chong as the 9th minute approached! The Wildcats led by two as Chong scored his second goal and Kaskie assisted once again.
- Right out of halftime, Garrett Hogbin scored unassisted in the 46th minute.
- Kaskie scored his first goal from low center in the 48th minute with great assists by Chong and Justin Bethke.
- The Wildcats could not be stopped as Hogbin scored for the second time. He was assisted by Mikey Hirsch in the 54th minute.
- Chong completed scored the hat trick assisted by Bethke in the 55th minute.
GOALKEEPER NOTES
- At the half, Justin Motzkus and Chico player, Jose Peredes, had both completed three saves.
- Motzkus completed the game with a total of five saves.
NOTEWORTHY
- The Warriors are 8-23-2 against the Wildcats since they first met in September 1998.
- Stan State fell to Chico, 0-2, when they last met in September 2018.
- The Wildcats outshot the Warriors 12-8. 11-4 were shots on goal.
