ARCATA – The Warriors took on the Jacks on Sunday afternoon and were defeated when Humboldt came out strong in the second half. The Jacks shutout the Warriors 3-0.
Humboldt is now 5-3-0 overall and 1-2-0 in the CCAA. The Warriors fall to 0-4-0 in the CCAA and 3-6-0 overall.
GOALS
- Humboldt put themselves ahead in the second half when Isaiah Dairo scored from 22 yards out into the bottom left of the goal in the 56th minute.
- Humboldt was hot in the second half when they scored two goals nearly right after one another. Nicolas Falco was assisted by Motoki Sato for a goal in the 70th minute.
- Devin Hauenstein brought the score to 3-0 when he was assisted by Martin Calderon in the 72nd minute.
NOTEWORTHY
- Stan State and Humboldt State are 15-7-1 since they first met in August 2003.
- The last time the two teams met, the Warriors defeated the Jacks 3-1 in October 2018.
- Both teams were evenly matched in shots with the Warriors having 10 and the Jacks with 14.
