TURLOCK – The Warriors fought hard to beat the No. 1 team in the West region but just fell one goal short. The women kept the Seawolves to low numbers but that wouldn't stop them from keeping their No. 1 spot in the West. Despite the loss, Stan State kept their energy high and put their hearts into the game.
The Warriors fall to 6-4-0 in the CCAA and 12-4-0 overall. Sonoma State remains undefeated at 8-0-0 in conference and 12-2-0 overall.
GOALS
- Miranda Sanchez scored the first goal of the game unassisted in the 40th minute to have the Seawolves leading going into halftime.
- Sarah Lindborg scored from low left assisted by Aly Silva in the 81st minute.
- Selia Torres scored the first goal for the Warriors in the 82nd minute off a free kick from Sadie Ortiz. Torres successfully scored with a beautiful header from high center.
GOALKEEPER NOTES
- Alyssa Herrman made an incredible save in the 4th minute and as the Seawolves kept trying to complete a goal, they couldn't get past her.
- Herrman completed seven saves during the game only allowing two goals.

NOTEWORTHY
- The Warriors are 8-20-5 against the Seawolves since they first played in September 1998.
- The last time the two teams met the Warriors lost to the Seawolves in double overtime, 1-2, on October 14, 2018.
- The Seawolves had seven days of full rest and the Warriors had been playing consistantly with no rest.
