RENO – Stan State traveled to Nevada on Tuesday in the hopes of beating the Wolf Pack but unfortunately lost in their exhibition game 62-80. The women were doing pretty well against Nevada but the Wolf Pack managed to outshoot the Warriors from the field by just nine.
TOP PERFORMERS ON TUESDAY
- Kaleigh Taylor led the team with 17 points and four assists.
- Three more Warriors shot double digits as well. Lizzie Moore made 12 points, Ashley Hansen and Kyanna Davis both shot 11.
- Moore also led with eight rebounds.
- This is Moore's third game shooting double-digits as a Warrior and Davis' eighth.
- Although this was an exhibition, Taylor has gone 9 for 10 games shooting in double digits.
TEAM PERFORMANCE
- The Warriors went 21 for 63 from the field while Nevada went 30 for 64.
- Stan State shot 68.2 percent from the free throw line and went 5 for 19 in three pointers.
- The team made 20 points in the paint and 14 points off turnovers.
KEY POINTS OF THE GAME
- Going into the fourth quarter the women were only down by 15 and scored first to only be down by 13.
- The team played their best in the second half when they went 15-19 in the third and actually scored more points in the fourth at 19-16 against the Wolf Pack.
- The Warriors biggest downfall was coming out of the first quarter trailing by 11.
NOTEWORTHY
- The Warriors are 0-5 against the Wolf Pack since they first met in December 2015.
- The last time the two teams met the Warriors lost 52-75 in December 2018. Davis led the team with 13 points and Caitlin Keding scored ten.
