SAN FRANCISCO – The Warriors played the Gators of San Francisco State on Sunday and beat them 79-62. Four Warriors scored double digits, led by Senior, Darius Scott with 17 points. Stan State held the lead the entire game except for last minute scoring in the end of the first half.
 
The Warriors are now 7-3 overall and 3-2 in the CCAA. The Gators are now 5-7 overall and 2-4 in the CCAA.  
 
TOP WARRIORS OF THE GAME

• At half time, Darius Scott was leading the team with 14 points, at 3 for 4 in three-pointers. Scott led in scoring with a total of 17 points.
• Three other Warriors also scored double digits; Luis Salgado (15), Vida Faniel (15) and Xavier Francois (15).
• Salgado led with seven rebounds.
• Faniel led with two steals and Ty Davis led with four assists. 

TEAM PERFORMANCE

• As a team, the Warriors shot 46.8 percent from the field going 22 for 47.
• They went 28 for 33 from the free throw line and shot 35 percent from the three-point arch.
• The Warriors scored 19 points off turnovers and 28 points in the paint.
• Stan State led by 21 with 51 seconds left in the game which was their largest lead for the entire game. 

KEY MOMENTS OF THE GAME
 

• The first half of the game was a nail biter as the two teams went back and forth battling for a far lead in the last five minutes.
• The Warriors led over the Gators by 11 points until the Gators gained some momentum and tied up the game 28-28.
• Stan State ended up being down by one, 36-37, going into halftime. 

NOTEWORTHY

• The Warriors are 20-19 against the Gators since they first met in December 1998.
• The last time the two teams met the Warriors beat the Gators, 81-76 in January 2019.
