SAN BERNARDINO – The Warriors took on the Coyotes of Cal State San Bernardino on Thursday to win their fifth CCAA game this season. The Warriors beat the Coyotes, 60-47. The third quarter was a nail-biter when the Coyotes caught up to tie the game but eventually Stan State went off in the fourth with their seven-point run.
The Warriors are now 7-4 overall and 5-1 in the CCAA. The Coyotes are now 1-7 overall and 1-4 in the CCAA.
LEADING WARRIORS OF THE NIGHT
- By halftime, Kyanna Davis was the leading scorer with five points. Davis ended the game with eight points.
- Angelica Baylon led the team with nine points and seven assists. This is only Baylon's second game as the leading scorer this season.
- Brittney Livingston led with five rebounds. This is Livingston's fourth game this season leading the team in rebounds.
TEAM PERFORMANCE
- The Warriors outshot the Coyotes Thursday night. The Warriors shot 37.9 percent from the field while the Coyotes shot 31.7 percent.
- The Warriors made a total of 42 rebounds.
- Stan State led for the entire game except for a small set back in the third quarter.
- The women scored 34 points in the paint and 13 off turnovers.

- The Warriors led at the end of the first half, 26-18, but the Coyotes went on an eight-point run to start the third quarter and tie the game.
- The Coyotes went 0-15 at the three-point arc.
- The teams started to go point for point in the second half until the Warriors took off to win the game, 60-47.
NOTEWORTHY
- The Warriors are 15-29 against the Coyotes since they first met in December 1998.
- The last time the two teams met in February 2019, the Warriors beat the Coyotes 65-52. Davis completed a double-double in that game with 13 points and ten rebounds.
