TURLOCK — Unfortunately the Stanislaus State tennis team has faced their fifth consecutive loss of the Spring season after losing to No. 6 Sonoma State on Friday, 1-6.
The Warriors are now 3-5 overall and No. 10 in the PacWest.
The team faced tough matches against the No. 6 Seawolves and were only able to put up one doubles win and one singles.
Maria Ochoa defeated Jenna DeTurk in two with a tie-breaker in the first set, 7-6 (7-4) and 6-4.
For No.2 doubles,
Megan Hagerty and
Maria Ochoa beat SSU's Clarisa Colling and Carolina Alfonsin, 6-2.
Ferrell, the 49th ranked player in Division II, fell in her second loss of the season and is now 6-2 overall.
Stanislaus State will take on Dominican University tomorrow at noon after having their game postponed back in February.
