TURLOCK—The Warriors beat the Silverswords of Chaminade University in a contest of 2-0 on Sunday afternoon. It was a slow start but the Warriors were able to win in the bottom of the sixth with two runs.
 
The Warriors rise to 17-22 while Chaminade falls to 10-28.
 
After two outs in the sixth, Aliyah Garvin tripled to right field for the second hit of the game. Behind her, Desiree Guzman doubled down the right field line earning herself an RBI when Garvin scored. Kylie Ragsdale also earned an RBI when Guzman ran in off her single hit down the right field line.
 
Aliyah Garvin went 1-3 with one run. Deja Guzman also went one and three with a run and a RBI. Kylie Ragsdale went 1-1 with an RBI.
 
The Warriors had a total of two runs, two RBI and four hits. The Swords had three hits.
 
Marlisa Berrelleza went 1 and 1 when she pinch-hit for Ashlyn Yagin in the top of the seventh. Hailey Matsumara and Kayla Henmi both went 1 and 3.
 
Kylie Ragsdale earned the win for the game after pitching 4.1 innings and striking out four.
 
Overall, the Warriors 3 and 2 for the weekend after splitting on Friday, Saturday and the win today. They fought in all five games and played their heart out.
 
The team will be back home on Friday, April 5^th to take on San Francisco State in a double header starting at 4 p.m.
