Stanislaus State Falls to San Francisco State

TURLOCK—The Gators of San Francisco State University defeated the Warriors 3-2 and 2-1 on Sunday. The Warriors went 0-4 against the Gators this weekend overall. Even though Stan State was defeated in Sunday's doubleheader, they came out strong and fought their way in both games.
 
The Warriors are now 17-26 overall and 10-18 in the CCAA. The Gators succeed to 24-14 overall and 17-11.
 
Kylie Ragsdale and Megan Stacy both pitched good games Sunday. Ragsdale pitched seven innings and only allowed three runs and seven hits. Stacy was the pitcher for game two also pitching seven innings. Stacy held the Gators to a mere four hits and two runs, she also struck out three.  
 
Kayla Fajardo brought her A-game as she went 5 for 7 overall with two RBI and a double. Fajardo led in both games for hits. Her three hits in game two would mark a season high for Fajardo as well as her first double of the season.
 
Alexus Martinez went 3 for 7 and played great defense. Martinez had sharp reflexes when it game to fielding and she fought in both games. Aliyah Garvin went 1 for 3 in game two and scored the single run for the Warriors. In game one, Kylie Ragsdale and Sydnee Machado both scored in the second when Fajardo doubled through the left side.
 
The Warriors had 12 hits overall while the Gators had 11.
 
Emily Mitchell won game one for the Gators after pitching seven and striking out two. Karla Soto earned the win for game two after she pitched seven innings and struck out five.
 
The Warriors will travel to No. 13 Chico State next weekend to take on the Wildcats in a four-game series, with the first doubleheader on April 12, starting at 1 p.m.
