GOALKEEPER NOTES

WORDS FROM HEAD COACH DANA TAYLOR

"Guys had two really good set piece goals on the day and defended well to earn our second clean sheet in 3 games. We looked flat out there today and our opponents had rested legs. I believe our two overtime games took more out of us than anticipated. Still proud of our boys and to be 3 and 0 is a great start."

NOTEWORTHY
  • The Warriors are 3-0 against the Red Hawks since they first played in September 2014.
  • Stan State beat Simpson University last September, 4-1.
  • Even though the Red Hawks out-shot the Warriors, 15-5, the incredible Warrior defense kept them from scoring.
  • This was a tough, foul-ridden game, with a total of 33 fouls from both sides.
The Warriors will return home on Tuesday, September 17, to take on Texas-Permian Basin at 2 p.m.
