TURLOCK – The Warriors were shown their first loss on Tuesday evening as the Falcons from Texas-Permian Basin edged them out in overtime with a 1-0 loss.
The Warriors fall to 3-1-0 as the Falcons succeed to 2-2-0.
GOALS
- Falcons, Jakob Beschell scored low left with an assist by Andre Luis Lima in the 98th minute to win the game in overtime.
GOALKEEPER NOTES
- Justin Motzkus had three saves and was jammed short with the last goal unable to complete the difficult shot that was thrown at him.

"I thought today we knew what we were getting into. We had some heavy legs but they did too and they traveled. We knew they had some good forwards up top, good midfielders; it was a good team," said Head Coach
Dana Taylor.
"We didn't capitalize on opportunities in the beginning of the game and the game kind of got stretched becoming anyone's game. Today it was a game of missed opportunities for us that led to our demise," said Taylor.
NOTEWORTHY
- Despite the loss, the Warriors outshot the Falcons 16-12.
- This is the first time the Falcons and the Warriors have met in season play; after today they are now, 0-1.
- The two teams were evenly matched when they were attacking as there was not even a 20% difference.
