TURLOCK — The Stanislaus State men's basketball team finally picked up a win at home — and hopefully this is a good sign with so many games remaining at Fitzpatrick Arena.
The Warriors bounced back from Thursday's loss to UC San Diego with a solid 66-53 win over Cal State San Marcos Saturday night.
Stanislaus State improved to 10-5 overall and keeps pace with the leaders of the CCAA at 6-4, good for fifth place.
Top Warriors of the Night

Xavier Francois recorded his third double-double of the season with 16 points and a career high 14 rebounds. He dominated the paint, going 7 of 14 from the floor. He also had five offensive rebounds.
• Francois has scored in double figures in six straight games. He's averaging 15.7 points a game in these six games.

Vida Faniel scored 16 points for his 12
th double-digit scoring game this season.

Ty Davis netted eight points with six rebounds, three assists and two steals.

Darius Scott pulled seven boards to go with six points and four assists.

Tougher on Defense
• The Warriors played tougher defense on Saturday, forcing Cal State San Marcos to take tough shots as they limited the Cougars to just 34.5 percent shooting.
• The 34.5 percent opponent's field goal percent is the Warriors' second lowest this season (Concordia Portland shot 31.6 percent on Nov. 29).
• Stan State held Cal State San Marcos to just 25 percent from the three-point arc, tying the season's lowest percentage by an opponent.
• The 53 points allowed by the Warriors is also a season low.
Home Victory At Last
The Warriors won at home for the first time in four tries this season. They are 9-1 on the road. Seven of the remaining 12 regular season games are at home.
