Warriors drown Otters with 19-point win

TURLOCK – The Warriors took down the Otters of Cal State Monterey Bay as they drowned them in a 19-point win. The Warriors came out strong and were ready to win the entire game. The team kept a far lead and won 75-56.
 
The Warriors succeed to 10-8 overall and 8-5 in the CCAA. The Otters fall to 4-11 overall and 4-9 in the CCAA.
 
TOP PERFORMERS OF THE NIGHT TEAM PERFORMANCE
  • The Warriors led by 13 coming out of the first and 18 going into halftime!
  • The Warriors kept the lead the entire game not sweating one point.
  • The Warriors had a lead of 22 at two minutes left and left the Otters with no lead at all.
  • The team's best run was 11 points in the first.
  • Stan State outdid Monterey Bay in all aspects of the game after outbounding them 40-36 and outshooting them from the field by eight.
  • The Warriors shot 43.3 percent from the field going 29 for 63.
  • Stan State went 12 for 24 from the three-point arc shooting for 50 percent.
  • The women were strong in free-throws shooting 71.4 percent after going 5 for 7.

  • Despite having 16 personal fouls, the team didn't let this stop them from pulling out the win. The team is actually 8-6 in winning when they commit more fouls.

NOTEWORTHY
  • The Warriors are 19-15 against the Otters since they first met in November 2000.
  • The last time the two teams played was on December 5, 2019 when the Warriors beat the Otters, 62-48.
  • Jada Washington had only scored two points at this point in the season after playing two games and had her best game tonight. Her first basket of the night was a three-pointer!
