TURLOCK – The Warriors played an incredibly fast-paced game against the Pioneers but were able to pull out the win, 72-64. Stan State and Cal State East Bay collectively had 47 fouls and were battling to win this game. Pulling out the win, the Warriors go undefeated over the weekend.
The Warriors succeed to 11-8 overall and 9-5 in the CCAA. The Pioneers fall to 13-7 overall and 9-5 in the CCAA.
WARRIORS PLAYING TO WIN
- The Warriors had three players score 16; Angelica Baylon, Kyanna Davis and Caitlin Keding.
- Davis led with eight rebounds.
- Baylon was on fire Saturday night as she had eight assists and five steals!
- Lizzie Moore made seven rebounds and had two blocks.
- Keding once again went 4 for 4 shooting 100 percent from the three-point arc. She also shot 2 for 2 in free throws and went 5 for 7 overall.
- Baylon went 6 for 7 for free throws and shot two three-pointers.
TEAM PERFORMANCE
- Coming out of the first quarter, the Warriors were leading 21-13. At the half, the Warriors held onto the lead by four, 35-31.
- The teams were neck and neck for almost the entire second half, at only four minutes left in the game, the teams were tied 57-57.
- The Warriors scored 22 points in the paint and 21 off turnovers.
- They had 18 steals and 14 assists.
- The Warriors largest lead was 30-18 when they led in the second quarter.
- Stan State also led for almost 84 percent of the entire game.
- The Pioneers out bounded the Warriors by two but the Warriors had more rebounds on the defense.
- The women shot 75 percent from the free throw line going 21 for 28 and shot 52.9 percent from the three-point arc going 9 for 17.
- The Warriors went 21 for 53, shooting 39.6 percent from the field.

NOTEWORTHY
- Stanislaus State is 5-15 against Cal State East Bay since they first met in January 2010.
- The last time the two teams met was on December 22, 2019 when the Warriors lost to the Pioneers, 70-82.
- East Bay is currently ranked one above Stan State.
- The last time the Warriors beat the Pioneers was January 18, 2014 when the Warriors won, 68-63.
- This is the first time the Warriors have beat the Pioneers in eleven games since 2014. They had an 11-game losing streak against Cal State East Bay until tonight.
CCAA STANDINGS WATCH
The Warriors moved into a three-way tie for third place at 9-5, with Sonoma State and Cal State East Bay. Stan State is just a game behind second place Cal State San Marcos (10-4) and two game back of leader UC San Diego (11-3).
