TURLOCK — Stanislaus State capitalized on many, many Central Washington miscues as the Warriors scored 18 runs on Saturday for a doubleheader sweep over the Wildcats.
The Warriors won the first game 7-3 and the series finale 11-4 to complete the three-game sweep. Stan State improved to 3-0 on the season while extending its winning streak over Central Washington to 15 games dating back to February of 2008.
Warriors of the Day

Jayce Gardner was the hitting star of the day. After going 0-for-4 in the first game, he went 3-for-3 with just a single shy of hitting for the cycle while driving in four runs. He had five RBIs for the day.

Grant Bunker also went 3-for-7 for the day with a double and a triple in the nightcap.

Alexis Paz also had three hits in the twin bill with a double and drove in three scores.

Anthony Ramirez appeared in both games on the mound on Saturday. He picked up the victory in game two. He allowed just a hit and fanned three in two innings. He threw a perfect ninth in the first game.

Tyler Meyer picked up his first collegiate win as the game one starter on the day. He gave up two runs on six hits in five innings.

Bobby Garcia threw three strong innings in game one. He gave up three hit and struck out three.
Key Stats of the Doubleheader
• The Warriors scored eight unearned runs on the day after CWU errors.
• Central Washington was charged with six errors in game one and three in the nightcap.
• The 2

th innings were key for Stan State offense. The Warriors scored 15 of the day's 18 runs in those three innings.
